THE RESIDENT ARCHIVE OF THE ISRAELI CENTER FOR DIGITAL ART NOW ONLINE
The Mobile Archive is the portable version of the resident Video Archive of the Israeli Center for Digital Art. Since 2006, following many requests by local scholars, students, and art lovers, the Video Archive was transformed into a more comprehensive resource officially open to the public. Today, the Video Archive is pleased to announce that for the first time, its catalogue of works can be found online.
Starting with a selection of about 100 artists, the site includes works by Yael Bartana, Candice Breitz, Ronen Eidelman, Jakup Ferri, Mark Lewis, Roee Rosen, Ruti Sela, Sean Snyder, Sharif Waked, The Yes Men, and many, many more. On the site, you can find artist biographies, work descriptions, one-minute video previews, and catalogue numbers so that works can be found easily on our shelves. ++The new Video Archive website will be officially launched at the upcoming opening of Sean Snyder’s solo exhibition, “The Real War,” at the Israeli Center for Digital Art on May 29. The show features works unfolding from the artist’s personal media archive.
